Families in Transition

Seminole County Public Schools

Our Partners

Seminole County Public Schools is honored to work with over 50 agencies and organizations in order to properly serve our homeless students. It is with this support and through community programming that our FIT students have the ability to access services that would not otherwise be available.

Below are partners that have given graciously to help our students:

Casselberry Community Task Force
Casselberry Task Force has created their own "Caring Community Model," that calls for the collaboration between local businesses, nonprofits, churches, civic groups and citizens in order to change a community. The task force addresses short term needs and has begun to provide long term solutions for issues related to hunger and homelessness. The model provides mentoring programs, food, clothing, and fun community activities, as well as the necessary support for people to transition out of poverty and into a more self-sufficient way of life.
Computers for Kids
Computers for Kids primarily focuses on High school, Middle school, and/ or Elementary school students in need of a computer in order to fully participate in class work. Their goal is to help better prepare students in order to compete in our technological society.

Day of Service
Partnership between the Church of Jesus Christ and the Homeless Service Network has resulted in their annual Day of Service, bringing services to hundreds of homeless and at risk families.
